This image celebrates the passage of the 19th Amendment 87 years ago giving women the right to vote in the US. Inspired by documentary photographs of peace and social justice movements, female members of my community were invited to participate on a staged march to celebrate women’s struggles and achievements, reflecting on the importance of individual contribution to collective identity.
