This image celebrates the passage of the 19th Amendment 87 years ago giving women the right to vote in the US. Inspired by documentary photographs of peace and social justice movements, female members of my community were invited to participate on a staged march to celebrate women’s struggles and achievements, and on the importance of voting rights and equality.
